Welcome and thank you for your interest in Top Dog Tourney, hereby referred to as TDT. Please review and accept these terms and conditions to participate in TDT tournaments, events and general communications. This is a TOP DOG TOURNAMENT! Not the best of the litter, not the “I’m in the top 5 of..”. As such the prize money and the tournament format is design to determine just that. Who is the Top Dog!

Until otherwise determined, the Top Dog Tournament will be a sixteen player field, race to ten, single elimination, prize paid to the winner ONLY!

Membership Rules:

By signing up for an account, you agree to accept communications from TDT.
Players are responsible for any copyright material used in personal profile, such as profile images or avatars. Continued Infringement on other people’s intellectual property will result in suspension and or account removal.
Obscene, pornographic or otherwise objectionable images or material will be removed and member given a warning. Any subsequent offenses will warrant action up to and including account suspension or removal.

Terms of Tournament:

Unless explicitly stated in the terms and conditions for a specific tournament, these rules govern all tournaments held by TDT.
Fargo Rate system ranking is used to classify player skill level. Players without Fargo Rate ranking are considered amateurs and are eligible for all tournaments. http://fairmatch.fargorate.com/.
"Express Interest" IS NOT used for entry in a tournament and IS NOT used to determine seeding/draw position. It is merely to gather the number of interested players for a proposed tournament. As such no deposit is required nor accepted when interest is expressed.
A 10% deposit or full payment is required for entry once a tournament is officially announced.
Registration period may vary, but is typically two weeks before tournament registration close date.
Deposits or full payments will be 100% refunded within 24 hours IF REQUESTED BEFORE REGISTRATION CLOSE.
Tournament registration closes midnight Eastern Time two days prior to event.
Full payment of registration fees must be made before registration close.
All deposits are forfeited if not paid in full or a refund requested before registration close.
There will be four (4) alternates per event. Alternates are subject to the following:
- Notified as an alternate at the time of registration.
- Alternate positions are determined on first come, first served based on date and time registered.
- Must be present on the day of the tournament BEFORE cut off time.
- Will receive full refund if there is not openings that require alternates.
Alternates are used to fill any unpaid vacated positions after registration close.
If more spots are available after registration close, late registrants will be accepted. Late registration has a late penalty fee of $50 or 5% of original registration fee, whichever is higher. Alternate entries will be re-opened if necessary to fill the four alternate positions.
Seeding/draw position is based on the date and time players register. For example: If John Doe is the first to register with 10% deposit or full payment on Jan 1st 2017 11:45 AM Eastern Time, then John Doe is placed in a bracket slot. If Mike Smith is next to register with deposit or full payment on Jan 1st 11:47 AM Eastern Time, then Mike Smith is placed in the next bracket slot. And so on until the registration field is filled.
Any alternate selected will inherit the bracket slot of the player they replaced.
Tournament bracket with player info will be publicly displayed on website, once the field and alternates are finalized, i.e.: all registration fees are received.

Tournament Cancellation Policy:

In the event a tournament is cancelled due to insufficient player turn out at the cutoff time on the day of tournament, all players present BEFORE the cutoff time will receive 100% refund within 24 hours. Any player not present at the time of cutoff forfeits their ENTIRE deposit.
In the event a tournament is cancelled for any other reason, all paid registrants will receive 100% refund within 24 hours.

Player Identification and Winning Payment:

Players must register with names that are verifiable with official government ID, such as drivers licenses, state ID, passport, etc.
Tournament winnings are paid immediately upon completion of final match and winner determined.
The winner(s) is responsible for all taxes due. As such the winner(s) must submit valid identification to complete a W-9 form in accordance to federal tax laws since payouts will exceed the $600 minimum threshold. 1009-MISC will be supplied at a later date also in accordance of federal tax laws.
